Checkerboard Fine Gifts has been owned and operated for over 13 years by Tina Middleton. She has a decorator's taste blended with an unabashed southern charm. With a finger on the pulse of new and exciting trends, Tina constantly has new pieces on display.

Decoration by Design

Tina has always been interested in decorating. Among friends she was known for taking what you had and “rearranging” it to look “decorated”. As time passed, Tina began decorating more and more. Eventually the opportunity arose to fill a void in North East Arkansas. The Checkerboard was opened in it’s original location in November 1996. In the beginning antiques were the focus of the business, but as times changed she began adding new products. Soon, The Checkerboard featured a mix of new and old products.

It’s focus now is featuring products on the cutting edge of what is new. Specializing in unique home décor and gifts for all occasions.
